Every year, a unique migration heads to Aotearoa New Zealand’s deep south—albatross, seals, great white sharks… and students.

The University of Otago, Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka, is calling the next wave to journey south. DOWN FOR IT captures this epic adventure through real student-shot footage from land, sea, and air, pieced together by Assembly and set to the iconic Dunedin track Tally Ho! by The Clean.

In a challenging time for enrolments, DOWN FOR IT has sparked a dramatic rise in 2025 student numbers, proving the pull of the south is stronger than ever.
